MEET THE FOUNDER

Andrew Tope was born and raised in Pacific Grove, CA the fourth child of ten brothers and sisters. It was apparent at a very young age that he exhibited a pension for making things happen, not watching them happen. So at the age of 17, he set out to do just that earning $4.00 an hour working as a groundsman. Andrew started selling firewood and trimming trees on the side to support his growing family. Mastering tree operations, he decided it was time to strike out on his own starting Tope's Tree Service, Inc. with a pick-up truck, a chainsaw, and lots of dreams!

41 years later, Tope's Tree Service is a family-owned business with a team of 30 and a full fleet of equipment. In 2013, Andrew opened Tope's Sustainable Garden Center, which concentrates on offering sustainable plants, and landscaping mulch produced from tree trunks and branches he removes from the tree service.
